after much stress and scrambling the Thread Show in San Diego was a raging success. so much fun. and all the hard work paid off.........

my signs fell off the of the table within the first 10 minutes. piilani stuck them on the pole and voila!!!

notice planes suspended in the air...the aerospace museum was the coolest venue for a shopping party.

Tea Time at Torung!!!!

always jasmine tea, always at Torung. we come here once a week (at least!) for the green curry with vegetable, extra mild please, and the yellow curry with potato- no tofu please alll potato....
we get the leftovers packed up and i always end up licking my bowl - the second night in a row- its that good.

Cousin Amanda and Uncle Jimmy!!!!!!!!!!!!

they came to town a few weeks ago( i am losing track of time......)and we had such a lovely day touring the city. last stop- fav perch-you guessed it- Griffith Park!!!

Griffith Park

we live just a few blocks from Griffith Park and just discovered last weekend how fun it is to hike up in it. it is so peaceful up there and the views of the city and the ocean are incredible.

Crazzzzzzzzzzzzzy

the insanity in this room is hard to desribe. picture a big bleacher packed with photgraphers and there huge cameras and big flashes all yelling at once trying to get the subject to look there way. standing in that room was like being in a strobe light alternate reality where every star you could imagine was 10 feet in front of you living breathing yet still just on the other side of an invisible barrier.

Reese was the sweetest being to behold and that dress was pure royalty

i took this picture of the band for you Dad. the Governors ball after the ceremony was the best part of the night. it was INSANE . and the dresses!! oh so lovely. Jon Stewart a foot away SURREAL. by this point my feet were practicaly bloody but it didnt quite matter.

oscar RUNner

Patrick got me a job working as a runner at the oscars. i failed to pay attention to the name of my position RUNNER. and wore these snakeskin pumps. they are low heeled and comfy for standing around sipping cocktails. i was told i would be on the red carpet picking up images from the photographer so i thought fashion was way more important than comfort under these circumstances. Do i have to tell you how wrong i was? but we'll get to that.

heres a pic of me at home gettin ready for the big night. this is probablythe only time you'll ever see me wear all black.



and then hamming it up in the press room. during the oscar ceremony the winners and presenters came back here to get there pictures taken and generally get yelled at by the press. it is MAYhem in there.
